What defines a Project Management Professional?

A small number of New Zealanders are certified Project Management Professionals. (PMPs). They gained this qualification by passing an exam set by the Project Management Institute. This PMP qualification is valid for three years and is renewable upon the PMP presenting documentation to show that his or her project management knowledge remains up-to-date.

This is a comprehensive two-day course covering core technical skills and success factors for project management. It is designed for people who plan or manage projects or who need to make an effective contribution to projects. The course manual provides a workbook for ongoing reference. This course is offered to the public on a regular basis in Wellington.
